The worker in this picture (which, ironically enough comes from OSHA’s own Safe Workplaces photo contest) is using appropriate hand protection and a full face respirator mask. But while he’s wearing coverall body protection his hood is hanging limply around his shoulders instead of covering his head.
The moral: Workers must not only be equipped with but actually wear hoods or other appropriate head protection to guard the skin and hair against chemical splash and other hazards.
