This double circular mill saw isn't properly guarded. Can you explain why?
These brutes are seven-foot saws in a double circular mill arrangement. And they're not properly guarded.
The Moral: According to the OSHA Sawmills standard, Sec.1910.265(e)(2)(iii)(c), the upper saw of a double circular mill must have a substantial hood or guard. The upper saw does have a hood but it sure doesn't look "substantial." The other problem is that there's no screen or other device in place to protect sawyers from flying particles as required by the standard.
