Worker Dies After Ingesting Chemical from Unlabeled Bottle
In September 2020, a 59-year-old employee at CPAC Contracting Services, Inc. in New York tragically lost his life due to chemical poisoning. While using the restroom, the worker drank from an unmarked bottle, believing it contained water. Unbeknownst to him, the bottle held hydrofluoric acid—a highly toxic and corrosive substance.
