A bundle of heavy steel rods came apart and rolled onto a worker. He died of head injuries. The incident occurred when the victim was trying to open the bundle by cutting the steel straps, which secured the rods. The load shifted, pinning his right foot beneath a heavy steel rod and throwing him to the ground. The rest of the steel rods rolled onto his body, causing fatal injuries.
